Eaton HK has pledged to open its doors to those seeking a clean and safe place in which to eat.
In reaction to the new social distancing regulations, which saw many workers forced to take their lunch break on the street, Eaton has repurposed its events space, creating a welcoming environment for those without a place to go.
From 11am until 3pm and 5pm until 9pm on weekdays, anyone is welcome to bring their meal to Eaton HK’s second floor, where they can sit safely at tables spaced 1.5m apart as per government guidelines.
Tables will be sanitized with Zoono after each guest’s visit and a maximum of two persons will be allowed to sit on each table.
Eaton HK’s ballroom can be accessed via a specially appointed elevator, and all arrivals will have their temperature checked before being granted entry to the property. Diners are required to remove and dispose of their own meal containers and cutlery.
“We’re opening our doors to the community during this difficult time. Providing a safe, air-conditioned space to those otherwise forced to dine outdoors in the extreme heat or rain is in line with our community values. We’re happy to make this small gesture to support our neighbors,” says Eaton HK’s Managing Director Dirk Dalichau.
