Zurich Insurance (Hong Kong) (“Zurich Hong Kong”) has deep roots in the city that go back 60 years, with a proud track record of corporate responsibility and philanthropic work that has served the local community over the years. As part of its 60th anniversary celebration, Zurich Hong Kong joins hands with StoryTaler, a social enterprise co-founded by a psychology professor and a clinical psychologist, on the “Think Good, Talk Good” Campaign to shine light on mental health, celebrate experiences and educate on the power of compassion. The Campaign will take positive psychology into the local community and bring about meaningful social change by connecting with people and discovering beautiful moments in life together.
The Zurich Insurance Group originates from Switzerland – one of the happiest places in the world. As an extension, Zurich Hong Kong also understands the importance of mental fulfillment, especially as the city continues to cope with the economic and emotional impact of COVID-19. Under social distancing measures, the lack of interaction with loved ones has meant a spike in stress. According to a research1, the average mental health score of Hong Kong people hit a record low last year, with nearly 40% of the participants reported they had endured traumatic experiences, over half (58.9%) failed the mental health index, while 27.1% were within an acceptable range, and only 14.1% were in a good mental state. The Campaign is an innovative way for Zurich Hong Kong to address the mental health needs of society, by encouraging healthy communication and relationships, and reinforce the importance of embracing life even in adversity.
The “Think Good, Talk Good” telephone installation will be opened to the public for two weeks from 16 July to 1 August at 1/F, Mill 4 of The Mills in Tsuen Wan.
