WORFU proudly announces its first public art community engagement project with internationally acclaimed Memphis-inspired artist and designer, Camille Walala. To reintroduce the shopping arcade formerly known as Provident Square, property investors Chelsfield Asia and Pamfleet have partnered to rebrand and rename their latest acquisition to WORFU: a community hub for residents in North Point.
The new destination will be unveiled to the public in late 2019. From 14 January to mid May, 2019, residents of the Island’s Eastern District will be given the opportunity to engage with world-class art at an accessible platform in their neighbourhood.
Each day of her visit between 14 to 22 January, Walala will reflect the energy and spontaneity of her abstract artistry by creating a thirteen-piece mural, totalling up to 54.1m (W) x 4m (H) in size, which will convey the hustle and bustle of North Point.
