Madagascar – The Musical follows Alex the lion, the main attraction at New York’s Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends – Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo – have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with their every need taken care of. Not content with their comfy life, Marty and his friends escape New York City to explore the world, with the help of some sly and inventive penguins.
