Maison Huit has invited Ms. Yuki Futami to co-host a ‘Tea Ceremony (Chado) Experience’ for guests to enjoy traditional Japanese matcha demonstration and tasting with Akio Nukaga’s ceramic tea bowls (chawan). Through this event, we hope you can understand the beauty of using and appreciate ceramic ware in your daily life, and at the same time, learn about how Japanese ceramics are closely tied to the food and tea culture of Japan.
Ms. Yuki Futami, a Japanese who lives in Hong Kong, has been practicing the Japanese way of tea (Chado) in the past 10 years. She is certified by the Nihoncha Instructor Association (Japan) as a tea instructor and is the NIAJ tea ambassador in Hong Kong. Yuki wishes to share the Japanese tea cultural experience with participants in an interactive session. The event will be conducted in English and Japanese. Yuki can speak Mandarin and can understand Cantonese reasonably well.

* A minimum of 6 participants are required for this event, Event will be cancelled or postponed if less than 6 participants register by 14 March. We will arrange full refund to registered parties if event has to be cancelled.
** To ensure hygiene and safety of all participants, all used equipment will be thoroughly sanitized before the event, and the tasting sessions will be conducted in groups of 3 or 4. All participants are required to wear masks during the event and only take off their masks during tea tasting.
