Prepare for an evening of mesmerising harmonies. Renowned Korean pianist Sunwook Kim will perform a piano recital ahead of his concert with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta on 28 September. A frequent guest of prestigious orchestras and venues worldwide, Kim has established himseld as one of the finest pianist in the contemporary music scene. Three spellbinding works await musical lovers. Kim will open the recital with Haydn’s Piano Sonata in E-flat, before performing Schumann’s Davidsbündlertänze. This intimate collection of 18 riveting character pieces is interspersed with juxtaposing voices of impetuousness and poeticism. The evening concludes with Schubert’s Piano Sonata in B-flat, the composer’s final work.
