Sunwook Kim is the youngest and first ever Asian winner of the Leeds International Piano Competition 2006. Having scored this prestigious title at the age of 18, this Korean pianist has established a stellar international career since. In September, Kim is brining his perceptive interpretation of classical scores and impeccable techniques to Hong Kong. Taking on a performance of Brahms’ Piano Concerto No. 2, Kim will join the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and Music Director, Christoph Poppen, in an exhilarating showcase of musical prowess. Poppen will first present the Hong Kong premiere of Luigi Dallapiccola’s Piccola Musica Notturna. Music lovers can expect an authoritative interpretation of Schumann’s Symphony No. 1, “Spring”. Here, you can indulge in the harmonic depictions of life and the budding spring.
