Go “Beyond HK” with the Taiwanese craft beers at Flowers Years this September! Following the success of its last local Beerfest, the open-air bar and eatery in the Eaton Food Hall is hosting the “Beyond HK” Beerfest in collaboration with breweries from Taiwan. During the festival, three breweries from Taiwan will make their debut: Ugly Half Beer, DB Brewery, and Sunmai. Immerse yourself in the party as Flower Years is transformed into a vibrant Taiwanese night market, offering street snacks, live music, and more.
Party the Taipei-way with Ugly Half, DB Brewery, and Sunmai
Founded in 2019 by craft beer enthusiasts from Taiwan, United States, and New Zealand, “Ugly Half” is written similarly to “drunkard” in Chinese. Mimicking vintage illustrations with a fun twist, “Ugly Half” shows its wildly imaginative side with the packaging, as well as the flavours – TOASTea Lager, Jumbo Sour, Big Three XPA, and Through the Mist I See the Fairyland Hazy IPA. Each is priced at $65, or you can buy three for $180. For those who enjoy draught beer, try the fruity Guava Gose ($70/500mL) served with plum powder. You can even redeem a complimentary beer mug upon purchasing three draught beers!
Also introducing DB Brewery, top brewing plant in Taiwan and winner of multiple international championships, and Sunmai. DB Brewery will present four bestselling craft beers, including New Taipei Makao Beer, Taoyuan Bitter Orange Ale, MiaoLi Strawberry Ale, and Coffee Stout. Sunmai brings the beach scene from Taiwan by introducing the Honey Lager, Passion Fruit Beer, and Magou Gose.
Complete your night with a tasty snack from Flower Years, including flavours of the night market with the likes of Popcorn Chicken with Fried Basil ($88), Taiwanese Snacks Platter ($108), and Sausage Bite with Garlic ($78). For live music lovers, Flower Years will have live band performances from 8 to 22 September, between 7 and 9pm. Enjoy classic Taiwanese songs at the new mini-Taiwan at Eaton HK!
