ESF Messing Around
We have fab messy play sessions for babies and toddlers with new gloops and goos to explore each week. Come and let your little dreamers splat paint, squelch gloop and splash water and let us do the tidying up!
There are many reasons why messy play can help children learn (and you don’t have to clean up the mess!)
- It helps children become more independent
- Children take part in an activity that they create
- They are able to decide how they want to play and can use the materials in the way that they choose
- Builds confidence because the child is in control
- It helps develop movement, coordination and control
Messing Around messy play classes are structured to allow play that gives children the opportunity to explore materials using their hands, arms, feet and bodies.
What to expect from messy play classes
Messing around sessions will last 45mins to 1 hour, sometimes a little longer. Sessions start and end with a short music and movement section. Each week is themed differently and will include different types of ‘mess’ and sensory materials connected to the week’s theme.
Themes can include: Down on the Farm, Under the Sea, Over the Rainbow, and more!
