Take a stroll through ifc mall’s The Courtyard of Harmony during Chinese New Year to celebrate unity and togetherness. Presented by the leading international lifestyle destination from 14 January to 8 February 2020, the cuju-themed set-up features lanterns, flying birds and fresh florals for guests to celebrate Chinese New Year with family and loved ones in the spirit of unity and festive blessings.
At the heart of the Courtyard of Harmony is a cuju ball adorned with auspicious patterns to ring in the Year of the Rat. Cuju, an ancient Chinese game of kick ball and one of the earliest forms of football that gradually evolved into a national pastime during the Song dynasty. The Courtyard of Harmony encourages festive reunions and a lively spirit through the auspicious symbols in the installation with a series of hanging lanterns with flying birds for visitors to wish for happiness, good fortune and good health in the new year.
Enter the Snap-then-Chat Photo Zone to create personalised festive WhatsApp stickers to share with friends and family. Visitors are able to take selfies or funny group photos, and add cute icons or auspicious messages to create individual sets of WhatsApp stickers to send well wishes to loved ones. Guests can then stroll along the Courtyard of Harmony’s mini bridge and behold the surrounding blossoming red and pink kalanchoe and begonia roses to welcome luck and prosperity.
