This unique drink was first introduced in 2005, when Blue Bottle founder James Freeman started selling it at farmers markets in the San Francisco Bay Area as an iced-latte alternative. Nola is inspired by the New Orleans tradition of serving sweet, milky coffee cut with chicory. Over the years, the recipe has been perfected to achieve a delightful balance of coffee, chicory, and sweetness that offers a harmonious experience in every sip.

Launching on 25 August, this new coffee bean combines the beloved Nola flavour with Blue Bottle’s innovative approach to soluble coffee. Crafted from the brand’s specialty coffee and chicory blend, the beans are transformed into aromatic granules that dissolve instantly, delivering the classic Nola taste with ease. 1. Nola cocktail series
The brand is introducing a series of cocktails crafted meticulously by Antonio Lai of Quinary and Draft Land. The four NOLA Instant-infused cocktails include Tropical Nola Delight, Nola Bliss Brew, Coffee Gin Fizz, and Nola Spritz. Each showcases the versatility of Nola and delivers a memorable tasting experience with every sip. Pair these cocktails with Solight Studio’s specially crafted cheesecake for a double dose of indulgence.
2. “Nola Social Club”
“Nola Social Club” will take over various Blue Bottle cafes during the promotional period. Join a cocktail masterclass hosted by Antonio Lai where you can try your hand at crafted these Nola cocktails. In addition, local jazz guitarist Alan Kwan has partnered with Blue Bottle on a song and a curated playlist, both of which you’ll have a chance to listen to at selected Blue Bottle cafes. Kwan will also host a vinyl sharing session with musician Wong Chi Chung.
