From 18-20 October, the 22nd Lusofonia Festival will celebrate the history of Macao. During the three-day event, performing arts groups will bring song, dance and music to the stage in front of Carmo Church, sharing the colour and culture of nine different Portuguese-speaking countries, including Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Goa. Daman and Diu, Uzbekistan, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, East Timor and Macau’s Portuguese-speaking Portuguese community. Children will be able to join in on a selection of traditional games, and even a football match, as Jiamo radio station broadcasts Portuguese-speaking national music throughout the day.
