A Guide to the best skateparks in Hong Kong
1. Tseung Kwan O Skatepark

This is easily the crème de la crème of the city’s skateparks. It was overseen by Convic, who’ve built over 700 of the best skate facilities in the world. There is plenty of variety here – a whole assortment of smoothly curved ramps, ledges and rails. There are also drinking fountains, changing facilities with showers, plus floodlights and a first aid room. It sits in a landscaped park with plenty of verdant grass to rest on after the session too. Definitely one of the top skateparks in Hong Kong.

3. . Fanling

This one earns points for staying open the latest – the lights go out at 11pm so you can have a productive session after the sun goes down. However, it loses points for being so damn far way (it’s basically in China) so unless you live on the east rail line of the MTR it’s well out of the way. Nevertheless, it’s worth the journey – this $51-million park has three sets of smooth bowls plus rails and ledges. There are also drinking fountains, floodlights and a first aid room.
