Chef Dominique’s capsule collection is exclusive to Hong Kong and pays homage to the local culture with a creative twist. Love the chestnuts sold by Hong Kong’s street hawkers? Then wait till you get a bite of the Chestnut Madeleines, filled with rich whisky chestnut cream. Grew up with Yakult shots? Dang Wen Li serves a quirky cookie shaped just like the famous Japanese drink, but it’s filled with Hong Kong style milk tea!

This Tai Hang bakery was set up by husband-and-wife-duo, Camille Moënne-Loccoz and Dominique Yau. Together they specialise in bringing Parisien flavours to Hong Kong. The artisanal pastries and breads are made using directly imported ingredients from France and, boy, will they be a testament to your indecisiveness! Be sure to try the almond croissant and the brioche in their namesake flavour— Plumcot (plum and apricot). Drop by the store on the weekend, when they offer a larger selection of pastries—as if it wasn’t hard enough to choose already! Also, for the adventurous eaters, we dare you to try a scoop of ice cream in unusual flavours such as tofu, blue cheese, and toasted baguette!

Gorgeous freshly made bread in Happy Valley, Proof cranks out a selection of yummy treats on a daily basis. We love the fact that they use no artificial ingredients during the breadmaking process, and you can really taste this in the results. Our vote here goes to the sundried tomato bagels and the sourdough loaves – just bring us the avocado, and we’re good for the weekend!

Levain has been making its own version of European artisanal bread in Hong Kong for almost a decade. The bakery uses high quality ingredients in its products, meaning that the bread is free from artificial flavours and preservatives. Nestled in the beautiful district of Tai Hang, BlissHive Bakery Cafe makes a selection of delicious breads and pastries. The small cafe serves up sandwiches and breakfast items, but it’s the baguettes and range of bread rolls that are the stars here.
