Lovers of live music, DJs, bands and performers will want to head along to Duddell's this summer to experience Audio Files, a music festival reinvented
We are big fans of live music events here at Honeycombers. From singing along with Justin Bieber to partying at Clockenflap every year, we love to support local and international musicians who make us get our dance on, so we were SUPER excited to hear about Audio Files, a new spin on a music festival at Duddell’s that brings a range of jazz, DJs and other live music acts to Hong Kong.
A music festival reimagined at Duddell’s
A collaborative initiative by hospitality group JIA and audio product manufacturer KEF, Audio Files is set to be a summer showcase of music that connects performers, producers, visual artists and audio enthusiasts, blurring the boundaries between the listener and the performer.
The event will run over three sessions, with the upstairs Salon and the Garden Terrace at Duddell’s being transformed into live music and performance venues. Hong Kong’s audio-loving community will have access to a range of state-of-the-art listening experiences both within Duddell’s and across the nine floors of the KEF Music Gallery.
Local and international musicians and performers
The event is set to kick-off on Friday, 28 July as international DJs United Future Organisation (UFO) land in Hong Kong from Tokyo to take over the decks. Well-known for their dance-floor jazz originals, they will be supported by DJ Sweet Talk and Ivan AKA Mr. Sit.
On 26 August, Chicago house music guru Robert Owens will make his way to Hong Kong to play to the crowd at Duddell’s Supported by the Fresh Of The Boat Asia DJs, a visual showcase by Totoro Typhoon will expand and explore the relationship between audio and visual.
Finally, on 29 September, some of the city’s most talented musicians will join together as a quintet to perform jazz and blues under the moniker of Wong Way Down. DJ Kulu will also be there to pump out his original jazz-funk-fusion selections.
