The Notwist Live in Hong Kong
Presented by YourMum, German alternative rock band The Notwist will debut in Hong Kong at TTN on 19 April. Having released nine studio albums, their musical spectrum is wonderfully diverse, swinging wildly from grunge-metal and indie rock to electronica and industrial sound. If you’re into alternative bands like Yo La Tengo and The Postal Service, The Notwist will definitely be of interest.

Punks & Skins Have More Fun

Formed by local British expats, street punk band Two Fingers Salute will perform with two other local bands, Oi! Squad and Say Mosquito, at The Wanch on 2 March. Having played at a great number of underground events, Two Fingers Salute guarantees all punk lovers a glorious mess of beer, sweat and fun.

SiM ASiA TOUR 2018 Live in Hong Kong
Incorporating elements of heavy metal, alternative rock, hip hop, reggae and punk in their music, Japanese alternative metal band SiM is most known for their rebellious and destructive musical style and lyrics. Crowd Lu Spring World Tour 2018 Live in Hong Kong

Having completed his conscription, Taiwanese singer-songwriter Crowd Lu will finally return to the stage of Hong Kong after his well-received headline show here in 2012. His latest music video for hit single You Complete Me went viral upon its release on Valentine’s Day, so don’t miss out the chance to witness his brilliant guitar skill and the soothing love in his voice from 31 March to 1 April at Star Hall.

Yogee New Waves Bluemin’ Days Tour

Presented by White Noise Records, Japanese indie pop band Yogee New Waves will bring their relaxing city-pop tunes to Eaton Workshop on 23 March. Their 2014 album Paraiso and 2017 album Waves speak sunshine and freedom, and their live performance (expect impressive guitar skills!) is definitely the best remedy after a stressful and tiring day.

Zenegeist’s 5th Anniversary Presents: After Sunset, Before Midnight
Presented by Zenegeist, a well-known Hong Kong indie music fan page on Facebook, Taiwanese indie band Sunset Rollercoaster will return to Hong Kong for third time with two other taiwanese bands – Deca joins and Midnight Ping Pong – to celebrate Zenegeist’s 5th Anniversary. Sunset Rollercoaster is known for their soul-tripping and atmospheric tunes, so enjoy a dreamy night at TTN on 27 March with fellow indie music lovers.

Harry Styles Live On Tour

Presented by Live Nation HK, English singer-songwriter and former One Direction member Harry Style will come to Hong Kong during his first ever solo world tour Live On. Föllakzoid Live in Hong Kong

Having played at some of the best international alternative festivals, such as Primavera Sound, Levitation and Best Kept Secret, Chilean psychedelic rock band Föllakzoid will finally hit Hong Kong for the first time. Their previous EP III successfully brought listeners a highly addictive and futuristic soundscape, so don’t miss out on their epic whirlwind-like live performance on 7 March at Eaton Workshop.

Arch Enemy Will to Power Asia Tour

Organised by Mirage Music, Swedish melodic death metal band Arch Enemy will make their long-anticipated appearance at Music Zone@Emax on 4 April. Formed in the mid-90s, Arch Enemy has become one of the most influential and explosive metal bands of our time. Celine Dion Live in Macau

Having sold almost 250 million albums during her 30-year career and earning a great number of Grammy Awards and Academy Awards, Canadian singer Celine Dion is undoubtedly a global music icon. The fin. “There” Album Release Tour
The much beloved Japanese indie pop rock band The fin. will make their third return to Hong Kong after their well-received shows in 2015 and 2016. Their latest album There is dreamy and delicately produced in London by Bradley Spence, who is known for his production for Jamiroquai, Passenger, Alt-J and his mixing for Radiohead. Having shown a significant maturation in songcraft, The fin. will offer listeners an oasis of hope and serenity at Eaton Hotel on 18 March at Eaton Workshop.

Big Band Night – All That Swing with Island Express Jazz Orchestra

As part of the Jazz-Go-Central, Jazz-Go-Fringe project, Big Band Night – All That Swing is a live music series that features different jazz musicians and bands. The Island Express Jazz Orchestra – formed by 17 young and adventurous jazz musicians – is most known for playing large ensemble arrangements by modern jazz composers, such as Bob Mintzer and Frank Mantooth. On 10 February, 21 April, 28 July and 24 November, they will return to Fringe Club and deliver to us the most whimsical and soothing jams.

Zedd – Echo Tour

Russian-German record producer and multi-instrumentalist DJ Zedd will hit the stage at AsiaWorld-Expo on 31 March. In 2015, his album True Colors debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and No. 1 on the Dance/Electronic Albums chart. Most known for his collaboration Alessia Cara on Stay and Break Free with Ariana Grande, Zedd has become a worldwide star with his crazy dance and electro house music.

Sónar Hong Kong

Sónar, known as the best electronic music festival in the world, is making its return to Hong Kong Science Park on 17 March. Having invited a great number of prominent hip hop artists, techno house DJs and experimental bands like The Black Madonna, Mount Kimbie and Mouse on the Keys this year, Sónar is not to be missed if you want to experience both mainstream and underground electronic music to the fullest.

Nouveau Jazz Weekend

From 3-4 March, Poland jazz musician Maciej Fortuna and Portuguese trio Vila Navio will bring a wide range of creative performances that goes beyond jazz norms to Hong Kong Arts Centre. For the afternoon gig “Fortuna Plays Szymborska”, Fortuna will pay tribute to Poland’s 1966 Nobel Literature Prize winner, Wislawa Szymborska. For evening performances, Vila Navio will incorporate elements of fado, popular and classic compositions with contemporary jazz and electronica, and Maciej Fortuna Special Quartet will present the experimental Polish electro jazz to the audience.

Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra

Hosted by Hong Kong Arts Festival, the internationally-renowned Verbier Festival Chamber Orchestra from Switzerland will perform the most influential works of Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert and Saint-Saëns on 23 March at Hong Kong City Hall with local pianist Rachel Cheung and the French cellist Gautier Capuçon. You’ll undoubtedly immerse yourself in their captivating live performance with the frantic orchestra.

Namie Amuro Final Tour 2018: Finally

With her music style ranging from R&B to J-pop, internationally-renowned Japanese pop singer Namie Amuro has been one of the leading figures in the Japanese entertainment industry since the early 90s. The Wedding Present Live in Hong Kong
British indie rock band The Wedding Present is known for their fierce and dynamic energy on stage. Their music is described as “some of the best love songs of the rock n’ roll era” by John Peel, the well-renowned English DJ of BBC Radio 1. The legendary band will be making their live debut in Hong Kong on 14 April, 2018 at Grappa’s Cellar. Expect 80s post-punk ruggedness as well as romantic elements from their music.

The Chainsmokers Live in Hong Kong

Katy Perry – Witness: The Tour 2018

Back in 2008, American pop singer Katy Perry rose to fame with her sophomore album One of the Boys and hit single I Kissed a Girl, and has since been charting on the Billboard. Her third album Teenage Dream even crowned her the title of being the first female artist to produce five number-one songs in the United States.
