Oh Echo Beach Bali, how many fond memories.\u00a0This black sand beach in Canggu was once the go-to destination for a romantic beachfront barbecue and endless views of empty horizons. But now, this popular Canggu beach has become one of the coolest oceanfront spots to see and be seen.<\/p>\n

Echo Beach is the watering hole of\u00a0Canggu<\/a>\u00a0(quite literally) with countless surf spots in every direction and shabby-chic\u00a0bars<\/a>\u00a0dotted along the black sands facing the ocean. And what an ocean view there is. Expect beach babes in their\u00a0Brazilian-cut bikinis<\/a>, scruffy haired surfer dudes with sun-kissed bods, and beloved\u00a0Bali dogs<\/a>\u00a0with their expat owners taking a sunset stroll.<\/p>\n

You can walk to the famous Echo Beach surfing breaks, and the Echo Beach BBQ bar (it’s what first made us Canggu converts) or stroll behind the busy beachfront scene to find the famous Deus Ex-Machina caf\u00e9 (where concerts and markets take place on the regular). And next to that is our loves \u2013 the healthy and organic hippie-loving Belenut Caf\u00e9 and Shady Shack vegetarian restaurant.<\/p>\n

This lively, community-driven coastline goes from a playground of sun and surf by day, to a wild party spot by night. Bring an acoustic guitar\u00a0for extra street cred, and don\u2019t forget the dog treats.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
