It’s owned and run by Italians, so everything is homemade with love and cooked exactly as it should be. Don\u2019t be fooled by its small size either. The menu is packed full of authentic flavours and crafted to perfection. I was thoroughly impressed by the pastas which are made from scratch, and the hand-tossed pizzas and homemade desserts. To complete my meal, I started with an aperitivo and washed everything down with a fine Italian wine. Friendly, attentive service and genuine Italian hospitality rounded off my dining experience at Ganzo.<\/p>\n

There are mostly Mediterranean and Balinese dishes to choose from, which perfectly suit the setting, as this restaurant sits right on the beachfront. It’s located a little further down the Nusa Dua coastline in Tanjung Benoa, and it’s worth heading out of town for, as it offers a quieter vibe, away from the bustling resort area.<\/p>\n
I tried a selection of dishes from brunch though to dinner, because it’s the perfect spot to kick back and settle in for the day. There was tuna crudo, burrata, a chicken caesar salad and plenty of sandwiches, burgers and pizzas. Whatever you choose, everything is made for leisurely grazing by the sea, and ever dish is bold, fresh, and locally inspired.<\/p>\n

As soon as I stepped in, I was greeted by indigenous materials in every corner, all given a contemporary twist. And that’s what you can expect from the spectacular menu. A must-try is the signature crispy duck with aromatic lemongrass, and the Balinese pork ribs chargrilled to perfection. But my favourite had to be the Pecak Iga Bakar<\/em> served with fragrant steamed rice, a delightful vegetable soup, crisp salad, and a spicy shallot and tomato sambal<\/em>. It’s without doubt one of the most romantic destinations to get a true taste of ‘old Bali’.<\/p>\n

The signature blue risotto, made with butterfly pea flower and coconut, topped with perfectly grilled slipper lobster. It goes without saying, a few rounds of signature cocktails complete the picture.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve lost count how many times I\u2019ve dined here, and honestly, it gets better every time. The views alone are exemplary. The dining room (which is brilliantly white) looks out over Nusa Dua\u2019s pristine beach. As for the menu, it\u2019s inspired by Balinese wisdom, featuring the best local ingredients with a focus on pan-Asian haute cuisine.<\/p>\n
The standouts for me were the coral trout carpaccio, the Wagyu beef and the best seafood linguine I\u2019ve ever tasted. And to top it all off, Kayuputi has won the prestigious Wine Spectator Award for fourteen consecutive years. So, don\u2019t miss the Champagne Sunday brunch either\u2026<\/p>\n
