Art Installation in Ubud
Artist Mickaël Obrénovitch returns to Uma by Como and COMO Shambhala Estate in Ubud this month to transform the stunning spaces once again with his thought provoking work. From 18 July to 18 October his new wooden sculptural works will take up residence at the two luxury properties.
In his new sculptural exhibition, French-born Obrénovitch embodies ‘Human Roots’ with 200 year old teak wood from Java. The theme is the natural world, and the goal of the selling exhibition is to connect us once more with our human roots. The pieces will be exhibited in Uma Ubud’s COMO Shambhala Retreat wellness sanctuary, the pool bar, lobby and Uma Cucina. Other pieces will be displayed at COMO Shambhala Estate in the lobby, tea house and Ojas lounge.
The exhibition will kick off with a three-course charity dinner at Uma Ubud’s Uma Cucina which serves luscious Italian inspired fare. Think goat cheese stuffed blossoms and roasted sea bass with a glass of wine in a gorgeous and serene setting.
25% of ticket sales will go to “Give a Gift that Grows”, which is a local project that helps local forest preservation. Food and art with heart. What is not to love about this whole thing!
