Perched along the scenic Ungasan cliffs of South Bali is Karma Kandara, one of three luxe Karma properties throughout Indonesia. It is here that all that good Karma you’ve collected comes back to you, so we count our lucky stars for being good in our past life.
Karma Kandara sits above the Indian Ocean with 54 spacious villas that each feature a private pool, lush tropical gardens, tranquil Koi ponds, and secluded settings. There are 1, 2 , 3 and 4-bedroom villas with stunning garden, island or cliff front views that are sure to meet any of your needs.
After check-in, you’ll be whisked down a maze of limestone-lined lanes to arrive at your own private hideaway. Once you pass through the colourful Balinese doors to your villa, you’ll feel worlds away from your daily routine. With a setting this tranquil, it’s easy to feel like you’d never want to leave. But if you do decide that you want to venture out, just pick up the phone and a buggy will soon arrive at your door to take you wherever your heart desires.
You’ll have priority access to Karma Beach Club – the villa’s stunning secluded beach cove at the bottom of the cliff, where you can spend the day swimming in the crystal clear waters of the ocean or laze about on one of Karma Beach Club’s day beds. Just catch the funicular, and watch as the magical view opens up around you. Positioned on the south coast, Karma Beach is blessed with white sand, crystal clear waters and a reef to explore and protect you from the (sometimes) larger waves at sea. If you don’t happen to be staying at the villas, day passes are available for Karma Beach so you can swim, sunbake, chillax, eat and drink the day away in one of Bali’s most sought after locations.

For sunset, you’ll definitely want to hang around cliff-side, and thankfully at Karma you are spoiled for choice to wine and dine! Try sipping on a refreshing cocktail and ordering Middle East-inspired tapas for nibbles at the Temple Lounge, or head to the air-conditioned Veritas Wine Bar to sample a glass of vino from their extensive wine collection. If you prefer to feast with the cool sea breeze running through your hair, you can also dine at the open air Di Mare restaurant – in fact, we recommend doing all three! Each spot is blessed with panoramic views so all you have to do is sit back and relax as the sun sets into the Bali horizon.
In need of the full 5-star pampering treatment? Luckily, The Karma Spa is truly something else. Spoil yourself with a full range of relaxing treatments that exist to heal, nurture and cure your body. Also perched atop the cliffs, the rustic-luxe spa huts overlook Karma Beach below with direct views of the deep blue sea (famed for those Insta snaps). The soothing sounds of the ocean below will starts to relax you even before the magic begins.

Didn’t think it could get any better? After your session, you are welcomed onto an open-air platform, where an Infrared Detox Sauna awaits to regenerate and leave the skin radiantly glowing. Once you step out, soak in the Himalayan Crystal Salt pool (pinch yourself, it seems so heavenly) and reflect on your Karma Spa experience.
Alternatively, if you want to spend the entire day down the cliff at Karma Beach, remain and get pampered at Sea Spa. Try the indulgent Martini & Manicure, where you can sip a martini of your choice whilst you receive a top notch manicure with optional polish and nail art. Or try the Pinot and Pedicure – you can see where we are going with this!
So next time Bali is on your bucket list, make sure you cash in some of that good Karma and treat yourself to a truly indulgent experience at Karma Kandara.
