1. Local seafood lunch at Ijen
Dive into Desa Potato Head’s beachfront pool before settling in to a local set-menu seafood lunch at Ijen. Think whole lobster, fresh oysters, citrus clams and grilled prawns served cold or cooked over a wood fire with farm-fresh vegetables. Every dish is served family-style to share, all with the option to add-on endless pours of Champagne. Finish your lunch off with a sweet treat for dessert – the Burnt Mango with charred milk ice cream, tapioca and kaffir lime.

2. Recovery Brunch at Daily Social
Spend the first day of 2023 by feasting with friends and families over great food and buzzing vibes. At Daily Social’s Recovery Brunch, you can graze your way through the scrummy buffet, which features six interactive hubs, showcasing the best of local and international cuisines. Think Jimbaran-style seafood, freshly prepared oysters, sushi and sashimi, roast beef, Balinese pork, Peking duck, desserts and more – all served overlooking Kuta Beach!

3. New Beginnings Brunch at Seasalt
Enjoy your first brunch of 2023 with Seasalt’s special New Beginnings Brunch, chilling out beside the seaside with the sound of the waves, an ocean breeze and lovely live music. An unlimited-to-order Japanese-inspired feast will be dished up both buffet-style and a la carte. You can also tuck into fresh pickings from the seafood bar, where you can graze on oysters and chilled prawns to your tummy’s content. And once brunch comes to a close? Head over to the Beach Bar where live music, cocktails and the oceanfront pool will help you raise a glass to the first sunset of 2023.

4. New Year’s Day Super Brunch at W Bali – Seminyak
Designed to get you back on your dancing feet, W Bali – Seminyak is putting on a very special New Year’s Day Super Brunch at its iconic beachfront destination, Starfish Bloo. Expect all of Starfish Bloo’s brunch staples and signature Pan-Asian fare, including live stations and the option to pair your feast with free-flow bubbles. After brunch, head to the poolside for the Wet Deck Pool Party for recovery beats by the beach. Now that’s how you kick off New Year’s Day in style!
When: 1st January, 12pm – 4pm for the Super Brunch, and 4pm – 9pm for the Wet Deck Pool Party.

5. BBQ on the beach at Sundays Beach Club
There’s no better hangover cure than sun, sand and sea, and at Sundays Beach Club, their recovery day also comes with a retro soundtrack from a vinyl DJ, interspersed with soothing saxophone tunes too. There’ll also be a choice of a meaty BBQ platter for two (with sausages, striploin, lamb, pasta and sides) or a seafood BBQ platter for two with octopus, prawns, calamari, mahi mahi and so much more. You can turn up and chill out on the sand, or go big with a VIP Bungalow or VIP Sunbed booking.

6. New Year’s Day 2023 Block Party at Da Maria
If you’re not ready to end the party at midnight, you’ll want to head to Da Maria on New Year’s Day. Get ready for the collaboration of all collaborations – a medley from three of its weekly party platforms (528HZ, METTO and INNO) spread across three areas, to give you one helluva lively block party to welcome the new year. Expect seven hours of unlimited food and drinks (special canapés and wood-fired pizzas from Chef Lorenzo!), with a lineup of Bali’s beloved DJs and special guests. Sip on Da Maria’s signature NYD cocktails, curated by the world-renowned mixologist Denny Bakiev.

Start the New Year with a beachfront brunch, a calming ocean breeze and live acoustic music at Pizzaria in Sanur. The brunch is a family affair, with plenty of options for sharing, like hot and cold antipasti, charcuterie boards and pizzas. You’ll want to make your way to the carving station for a special roast, and taste the bounty of grilled Jimbaran-style seafood. There’ll also be Italian and Asian comfort food to help you recover from last night’s festivities. Got a sweet tooth? The dessert station is worth the trip, with a selection of cakes, macaroons and even fresh gelato and sherbet.

Let the New Year’s celebration continue on New Year’s Day with a family-friendly brunch at Prego. Chef Salvatore Catania and his team will be dishing up a superb, authentic Italian spread with all the trimmings. Think comforting pastas and hearty pizzas, alongside other Nonna favourites. 10. Brunch & lunch at The Apurva Kempinski Bali
If there’s one thing we need to cure the NYE hangover, it’s food! Lucky for us, The Apurva Kempinski Bali has no shortage of feast. Start the year with a tropical vacay staple: a seafood buffet on the beach. On New Year’s Day 2023, the resort’s Reef Beach Club invites you to an all-you-can-eat BBQ brunch by the sea. Spend the laid-back day grazing on the ocean’s finest bounty as you listen to the live DJ performance, while the kids are occupied by the special activities. If you’re looking for a more intimate fare, the resort’s Koral Restaurant (Bali’s first aquarium restaurant!) will be welcoming you with a festive menu alongside its regular menus.
