Toko Ani supplies a fine smorgasbord of baking accoutrement including a great selection of cake decorating tools, baking ingredients, and other crockery. If you can’t make it to their flagship store in Central, they have a particularly good selection of products available to purchase online. Toko Ani even has professional level courses for sugar paste decoration and wedding cake classes!

Ace Hardware’s kitchen supplies are some of the best in the city. Don’t just stick to your nearest branch as each of Ace’s thirty Jakarta branches have slightly different stock at various times. International brands of kitchen gadgets and appliances sit alongside local, cheaper brands such as Kris. If you’re into baking cakes for the kids, their range of cake and muffin tins, cupcake cases, and bake ware just for kids will blow you away!

If many of the stores’ selections are a little too frou-frou for you, then head to the clean, minimalist Muji. This Japanese store keeps things simple – plates, noodles bowls, cups, and mugs come in two colours, white and off-white. The no-frills approach carries across their kitchen utensils, cutlery, and glassware.

With stores in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Bangkok, Pantry Magic are the kitchen pros. This is top-of-the range stuff for the true copper pot loving gourmet cook. Cuisinart, Le Creuset, and De’Longhi are just some of the well-known brands they stock. You’ll find the best quality fondue sets, tagines, ice-cream makers, bread machines and slow cookers, and a huge range of baking utensils. They hold regular hands-on cooking demos so be sure to sign up for their newsletter. Their knowledgeable staff are happy to order products not available in-store.

For a complete range of baking tools head to one of Titan Baking’s flagship stores. Among covetable items are KitchenAid mixers in every colour imaginable, fun-shaped silicone baking moulds and cake toppings to make awesome birthday cakes for the kids, and hard-to-find ingredients like cornflour and puff pastry sheets.

Fatma and Toko Dewi
If you’re a fan of white tableware, then the discount dinnerware stores on Jalan Fatmawati are the place to go. Fatma contains a huge selection of well-known tableware brands at a fraction of their usual cost. Toko Dewi is more of a wholesale catering shop and a tad bit pricier than Fatma but there are still plenty of bargains to grab here too.

Like all good department stores, Metro has a wide selection of tableware, glassware, and kitchenware. They stock international brands of most kitchen appliances including the essential juicers, blenders, and toasters by Krups and KitchenAid and the less- than-essential chocolate fountain machines! Some stores stock the Bodum range of coffee appliances.
