Illustrative lettering artist Gemma O’Brien is set to showcase her expressive and varied font work in Bali from December 22nd 2018, dressing the walls of The Slow’s gallery space of Room 13, Canggu.
A designer, illustrator and artist currently based in Australia, Gemma was introduced to letterpress printing whilst studying design at the College of Fine Arts in Sydney.
She then went on to build an impressive career best summed up by a flawless portfolio of hand-painted typographic murals and works commissioned by a list of global brands including Apple, Nike, Google and The New York Times.
O’Brien’s commercial design work is complimented by exhibitions at China Heights Gallery in Sydney and a collection of group shows around the world, with international representation by LEVINE/LEAVITT artist management, and Australian representation by The Jacky Winter Group.
Her exhibition will launch with a party at The Slow to be held from 7pm on the 22nd of December, with her works on show until the end of January 2019.
