Summer 2017 is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet, with the announcement of Bestival coming to Bali and a killer lineup to boot!
If you’ve ever been to the UK’s award-winning Bestival (most likely dressed up as some sort of weird and wonderful mythical creature) then you’ll know that the announcement of Bestival coming to Bali this summer is big news for music fans across Asia.
Taking place over two days at Uluwatu’s stunning Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK Cultural Park) on 30th September – 1st October 2017, Bestival will be bringing its signature mix of eclectic music from around the globe, wacky and immersive art experiences, delicious food markets and unforgettable festival shenanigans – all in true Bestival style.
Over the years, Bestival has brought huge acts like Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Beastie Boys, The Chemical Brothers, Missy Elliott, Amy Winehouse and The Cure to the festival stage, and Bestival Bali is following suit with some of the hottest names in dance, hip-hop, DJ and rock and roll.
Headliners include British indie-rockers alt-J, drum and bass trailblazers Rudimental, hip-hop trio De La Soul, the Granddaddy of funk and acid rock George Clinton, Canadian electronic duo Purity Ring, and Indonesian-born reggae superstar Ras Muhamad – and there’s more to be announced in the coming months, too.
Bestival curator Rob da Bank says: “Well I can’t think of a better place in the world to do a new festival than Bali – a beautiful country, incredible culture, great music and don’t even get me started on the surf, history, nature and people… We are honoured to be bringing Bestival to Bali and promise to deliver a sublime festival experience”
Excited? We are too! So grab your tickets now, and we’ll see you at the fest!
