Love Jamie Oliver and can’t live without Italian food when in Bali? Then get excited, because the celeb chef’s Kuta Beach restaurant has just launched a delicioso new menu - Italian cocktails included!
First we came for the big name celebrity chef. Then we stayed for the slow cooked Beef Bolognese and impossibly creamy truffled risotto. And now we’re back, seriously hungry and very excited because Jamie’s Italian Kuta Beach [sitting footsteps from the sand right next to Hard Rock Hotel] has just launched a brand new menu that’s juicier, creamier, and more herbaceous than ever before! And did we mention there’s healthy vegan and vegetarian options, too?
That’s right, this month the British kitchen superstar updated his already-scrumptious Kuta Beach menu to reach lip-smackingly delicious new heights, and he hasn’t forgotten about the vegans and vegetarians, either.
Hot out of the oven, the yummy new starters range from Baked Mushrooms with crispy breadcrumbs, smoked mozzarella and thyme, to the Salumi Bruschetta that’s loaded with crispy salumi, whipped buffalo ricotta, tasty herbs and aged balsamic.
Moving onto the Italian-inspired mains and things get seriously hearty. Carnivores, you’ll want to try the Herby Australian Lamb Steak that’s chargrilled on the bone and served with roasted peppers, balsamic onions and salsa verde, and whatever you do, don’t miss the Simple Baked Lasagne with layers of roasted squash, béchamel, mozzarella and a rich Wagyu beef ragù – yum!
Not forgetting the veggies, the meat-free options at Jamie’s Italian Kuta Beach are also serious standouts [look out for the little green logos to spot them all!]. Our fave? The healthy-and-wholesome Super Green Veggie Burger made with herby chickpeas, beans, balsamic onions, cottage cheese, gem lettuce and tomatoes, served up in a brioche bun with chips on the side. Who said vegetarians only eat salads?!
This refreshed new menu also quenches the thirsts of Bali’s cocktail crowds, too, with Italian-inspired cocktails and mocktails for those hot Kuta days. Try the bittersweet Campari Spritz [a mix of Campari, soda and Prosecco] or finish up with a naughty-but-oh-so-nice dessert cocktail, like the Green Apple Martini that’s made with vodka, passion fruit puree, syrup, and apple juice.
Honeycombers Exclusive!
If all of that wasn’t enough to get you zigzagging through the Kuta streets straight to Jamie’s Italian, then how about a complimentary Limoncello on arrival? Just for you, our beloved Honeys, just show this article to the Jamie’s Italian team to claim. Cheers!
