- Bring your photo ID to prove that you’re legal to party
- It’s a rain or shine event, so bring a poncho (leave the hazardous umbrella at home) if you’re not keen on getting soaked when it pours. If you intend to stay till sunrise on day two, prep those cheap but chic sunnies
- Of course, the dresscode is beachwear. Be sure to secure your swimsuit with fashion tape and double knot those bikini ties!
- Pick up the site map at the door to scope out the best spots on the beach that’s close to the bar, the washroom and areas not too far from the stage. Also, use the map to decide on a meeting point at a specific time to regroup when one of you gets separated and is uncontactable (it will happen). It also shows you locations of emergency exits, first aid booths, information counters, and lost-and-found centres
- From experience, we’d say it’s best to bring as little as possible, and store your essentials (phones, photo ID, cards, wet wipes) in a waterproof ziplock bag
- To ensure a quick and smooth get-away when the party ends, book a taxi (or private transport) in advance, and arrange for a pickup slightly away from the exit points so you can avoid those pesky cab-nabbers

- ZoukOut is completely cashless, so you don’t have to fumble with notes and coins. Payments for food, drinks and merchandise at the event can only be made via ez-link cards and credit/debit cards. This also means faster transactions and shorter queues. If you don’t already have an ez-link card, get yours at MRT stations islandwide, on festival grounds, or a limited edition ZoukOut 2015 card at Zouk for $2 (with no stored value). Low funds? There are top-up stations on site
- Yes, you’ll be wearing your new swimsuit but no, swimming is strictly prohibited
- Outside food and drinks, but there are food stalls at ZoukOut to fuel you up so you can dance all night
- Laser pointers (those can blind someone!)
- Videography
- Pets
Outside the showgrounds
Having a room at one of Sentosa’s hotels will save you time and energy on travelling to and from the festival. Our top pick? Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa‘s oh-so blissful Onsen Suite, because, really, who can resist the idea of a relaxing dip in the hot tub after a night of heavy partying at the beach? The neutral colour scheme and Zen-like ambience certainly help calm our minds. Do note that demand is high, so peak rates apply. For more accommodation choices, see our handbook of Sentosa’s hotels.
Thinking of retiring your old swimsuit? Get a cute little number at one of these fab swimwear stores in Singapore. The sunrise set has always been epic, so don’t forget your peeper protectors! And for more wardrobe fixes and inspiration, nose around our super stylish fashion section.
Given the breadth of this year’s fest, you’d probably need a little preparation – and, of course, the good folks at Zouk have it all worked out for you. Get a taste of what’s to come with specially curated Day 1 and Day 2 Spotify playlists, then send those party vibes buzzing with a series of pre-ZoukOut parties at the club on 21 and 28 November 2015, and 5 and 6 December 2015.
