Trade the usual eggs Benedict for a real five-course spread with a view of the CBD skyline
All prepped and ready for Mother’s Day? Well, good on ya! While you’ve found mum the gift – a relaxing spa sesh, with a mani and pedi thrown in for good measure – you may still be wondering where to go for brunch. You know, the ones without the samey eggs Benedict or stacked pancakes.
Luckily, we’ve got just the place for you. Wooloomooloo Steakhouse has a special Mother’s Day menu comprising five courses that span from starters, to mains and dessert. What’s more, you’ll be dining in scenic surrounds, as the restaurant is located on the third level of Swissotel the Stamford, and features floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the CBD and Marina Bay Sands. If we haven’t stoked your appetite yet, here’s a sneak peek of what you’ll be treating mum to this May.
The brunch kicks off with chilled angel hair pasta tossed in truffle oil and kombu, and then accompanied with a refreshing red snapper ceviche. You’ll also be tucking into a comforting bowl of mushroom soup that’s served with a generous portion of truffle cream. Yum! For the main course, you have the option of choosing the blue swimmer crab risotto with cured egg yolk and Avruga caviar, roasted quail with a side of foie gras, or the filet mignon, topped with crab meat and béarnaise sauce. And who can forget dessert? There’s the strawberry and basil panna cotta, pineapple turnover cake, oreo cheesecake, chocolate raspberry tartlet and macarons for grabs. Pair these with tipples from the resto’s extensive wine list – all you have to do is ask their staff for the best recommendations!
And if all you want to do is knock back a few glasses of Champers, the resto has an irresistible weekend Champagne brunch deal too. For more information, check out their website.
The Mother’s Day brunch is available at $68 ++ per person. Make your reservations here.
