Captivated by the alternative healing thearpy of sensory deprivation chambers? This mind-tripping open house will tell you more
Spaceheads, are you ready to lose your marbles this weekend? In celebration of the newly-opened Kampong Bugis outlet of Palm Ave Float Club – a sanctuary that offers an alternative form of therapy using sensory deprivation chambers (or what we like to call ‘space pods’) – the chill folks behind it are throwing a trippy open house on 18 December to get you acquainted.
Expect brain-scrambling activities such as PandoraStar sessions, where you get to experience deep, trance-like meditation through a strobe light device. But be warned – the lights are designed to get your head buzzing, so tread lightly.
You can also look forward to a barter art show, where the artworks on exhibit are purportedly “channelled by cosmic energy” – we don’t know what this means, but we want one in our house, pronto. And if you’re intrigued by the epsom salt water in Palm Ave Float Club’s sensory deprivation chambers (it’s the key ingredient behind the weightless effect), you’ll wanna get your mitts on their dip-dyed ‘salty’ t-shirts too.
Has all this gotten you in a tizzy yet?
