Happening throughout June is a food fight at Extra Virgin Pizza, a gin workshop at The Rabbit Hole, a bottomless brunch at Tanjong Beach Club and a Riverdale party at OverEasy
Tanjong Beach Club, The Black Swan, Loof, Odette and The Warehouse Hotel – what’s one thing that all these revered establishments have in common? If you know the industry well, you’ll know that these are all run by The Lo & Behold Group, hospitality mavericks that’ve been on top of the game for years. And come June, they’ll be displaying yet another gargantuan showcase of their influence, with a month-long festival featuring events at seven of its prime establishments. “No more adulting” – that’s what The Lo & Behold Group wants you to do.
It’s all unexpected twists and turns during this inaugural celebration of the group; a unique event will be hosted every weekend with a specially curated programme. Take the Food Fight event at Extra Virgin Pizza (2 June) for instance – brace yourselves for a culinary showdown between top local chefs, Ming Tan of Grain and Bjorn Shen of Artichoke. Gin guzzlers can indulge in their fave tipple at The Rabbit Hole’s gin workshop (8 June), while brunch addicts can look forward to Tanjong Beach Club’s Bottomless Brunch (17 June) for brunch with a beachy view.
If you’re savvy with past Lo & Behold celebrations, then you’ll also be familiar with the group’s penchant for themed parties; this festival is naturally no exception. One boogie-worthy highlights that you’ll definitely be dressing up for is The Black Swan’s The Golden Age Of Hollywood soiree – a jazzy, Sinatra-approved shindig in collaboration with Sunshine Nation. But if you prefer a more juvenile jamboree – and if you’re a secret fan of Archie Andrews and the gang – you’ll be scuttling over to OverEasy Orchard’s Riverdale edition of its Guilty Pleasures series, known for its ’90s sing-a-long hits.
Which one to go for? Nah, that’s not the right question. How many will you be hitting up? Now that’s more like it.
