There’ll be no playground fights at the biggest professional boxing event in Singapore, returning on 27 May. And remember to support Singapore boxer, Muhamad “The Chosen Wan” Ridhwan!
For a different sort of club night on a Saturday evening, we are pleased to inform you that fight club is now in session… the boxing kind! It’s on to Round II for Singapore’s premiere boxing event, following the success of the first edition of The Roar of Singapore in February. Don’t get us wrong; it’s still going to be a glitzy and dressy affair – if you’re not the one fighting, of course – with the boxing matches happening at the Resorts World Ballroom at Sentosa.
20 boxing titans from all over the world will meet in the ring to fight in a total of 10 Universal Boxing Organisation (UBO) title matches. But keep your eyes on and support homegrown hero, Muhamad “The Chosen Wan” Ridhwan as he punches his way in hopes of winning the UBO Super Featherweight World Title fight. Reigning UBO World Light Heavyweight Champion Ryan “The Real Deal” Ford will also be returning to defend his title, and ex-UFC fighter Taylor “Double Impact” Lapilus will make his debut in The Roar of Singapore II.
They say the first rule of fight club is to not talk about it – in this case, we’ll pass, thanks.
The Roar of Singapore II, 27 May at Resorts World Ballroom, Resorts World Sentosa, 8 Sentosa Gateway, 098269. Doors open at 4pm, with the first fight kicking off at 5.30pm sharp. Tickets are priced at $188 for ringside seats and $158 for free seating, both inclusive of free flow San Miguel, soft drinks and buffet snacks. Tickets and VIP packages are available here.
