Contemporary art lovers, don’t miss the Autumn edition happening from 18 to 20 November with works from over 80 exhibitors this year
If the work of leading modern artists such as Jackson Pollock and Damien Hirst have left you scratching your head in bewilderment, you are not alone! More often than not, an excursion to the art museum or a private gallery can be an intimidating experience for those without deep pockets or an encyclopedic knowledge of art. Thankfully, this stereotype has (mostly) been put to rest by accessible art events like the Affordable Art Fair, a pop-up international art exhibition that’s returning to Singapore from 18 to 20 November at the F1 Pit Building.

A noob (and kid) friendly experience
It doesn’t matter if your repertoire begins and ends with Andy Warhol’s soup cans – this is one place where you can approach artists and gallerists with any questions about the exhibits. And if you’re a little apprehensive about a one-on-one chat, there are guided tours and talks available, too! Coming with the tots in tow? Mums and dads can keep their little ones occupied at the children’s art studio with creative workshops for kids aged four and above.
Accessible art galore
The seventh Singapore Autumn edition will see over 80 local and international art galleries participating, with pieces featuring a price range of $100 to $15,000. Keep an eye out for an interesting and diverse selection of choices from Aboriginal Art Galleries (Sydney), Gallery I (Seoul), Gallery Kogure (Japan) and Lumas (Singapore) – these are just but a few of the highlights there.

Yummy food and drink options
Throw in a good mix of food and beverage offerings, and you can practically plan an entire weekend at the Affordable Art Fair! Supplying visitors with deli bites, coffee and wine from Common Man Coffee Roasters and Bistro 1855, here’s where you can sneak a breather before embarking on round two.
It’s all for charity
The Affordable Art Fair will be donating a dollar from every ticket sold to local charity The Woodbridge Hospital Charity Fund, in support of its art therapy programmes. Chin-wagging for a good cause? We can’t think of a better reason to sign up!
