Sample bespoke cocktails, join masterclasses by acclaimed bartenders, and enjoy great nosh at this boozy event on Beach Road
Tempted to have a tipple? Then it’s time to start getting thirsty for the Singapore Cocktail Festival! Set to stun cocktail connoisseurs and newbies alike, the festival will feature 40 participating bars including craft cocktail institutions like 28 Hong Kong Street and Manhattan, as well as newer bars like Crackerjack and Atlas Bar.
The participating bars will be offering special cocktail menus, cocktail and food pairings, themed cocktail parties, bar tours and even masterclasses helmed by some of Singapore’s best bartenders. You’ll also get to enjoy fine cocktails from award-winning guest bartenders like Alex Kratena of P(OUR), and Matt Whiley of Peg + Patriot (both acclaimed London bars) performing guest stints in collaboration with Singapore’s own homegrown bartenders.
It’s hardly a festival without a lineup of good eats and live music though, is it? Pay a visit to the festival village at 99 Beach Road to tuck into street food from popular local restaurants like The Disgruntled Brasserie and Ninja Cut. The village will also offer tasting rooms for small-batch spirits, alongside killer live music to get you in a rollicking mood. In addition to that, guests will get a chance to sample over 50 cocktails ($12 each) at the festival village’s “fully immersive” cocktail and mocktail rooms.
Another much awaited highlight will be the Asia Bar Battle, where nine bartending teams will compete to create a cocktail that best represents their homeland. Of course, all this leads up to the main event – the crowning of Singapore’s Next Cocktail where guests can cast their vote for their favourites.
But we’re really just scratching the surface here. The festival will also feature some of our favourite bars like Operation Dagger, Jigger & Pony, Gibson, Highball, The Other Room, Employees Only and many, many more.
