Fashion collaborations and limited edition collections always get us excited, and right now we’re coveting Louis Vuitton x Supreme, Erdem x H&M and JW Anderson x Uniqlo. Here are some of our favourite designer collaborations this year.
Fashion collaborations — whether it’s two different brands or designer and celebrity — spring up every season like clockwork. And who doesn’t love a good collab? H&M never fails to break the internet with its coveted designer tie-ups (remember the hype around the Balmain and Kenzo?), and the LV x Supreme collab had Hypebeasts and Hypebaes queuing outside the ION store hours before its Singapore launch. With more designer team-ups, the fashion world is never short of fab collections. So, here are our favourite style drops of 2017….
ERDEM x H&M
We’re seeing more florals this season with the latest H&M collaboration with Canadian designer Erdem. The much-anticipated new romantics collection sees the debut of Erdem’s men’s collection that includes floral socks, mohair sweaters, button-down shirts, tailored suits and windbreakers with designs inspired by the English countryside. We also can’t help falling in love with the gorgeous silky sets, statement gowns, stylish tops and floral (of course) combat boots that will have you looking like a character out of a Baz Luhrmann film. Speaking of Australian director, check out the short campaign film he directed for the collab.
ERDEM x H&M will be available from 2 November at H&M Orchard Building (1 Grange Road, Singapore 239693) and ION Orchard (#B2-28/31 & #B3-27/34, 2 Orchard Turn, Singapore 238801), as well as on hm.com.
Gigi Hadid x Tommy Hilfiger
It-girl Gigi Hadid is no one-hit wonder. Following her debut capsule collection with Tommy Hilfiger (which made its rousing debut at New York Fashion Week last year), the supermodel (and global ambassador for the brand) dropped more head-turning preppy goodness such as striped cardigans, pleated tartan skirts, and for something edgier, there are leather shoes and trousers, as well as distressed jeans in the mix. Released in September, the sophomore TommyXGigi collection is all you can expect and more: an all-American-meets-nautical line of apparel, footwear, accessories, sunglasses and fragrances.
Gigi Hadid x Tommy Hilfiger, available at multiple locations including ION Orchard and Vivocity.
Guess x A$AP Rocky
Back with another rad collab, Guess and American rapper A$AP Rocky released its third collection which draws inspiration from the Guess archives. Dubbing it “Ice Cream and Cotton Candy”, this capsule collection includes the collab’s signature stripes which are apparent in previous collections, as well as a palette of pastel hues. People with a thing for huge logos on the front will appreciate this range of mock-neck shirts, boxy ringer crop tops and oversized retro tees. You know what they say – Go big or go home!
Guess, available at multiple locations including ION Orchard, Marina Bay Sands and Ngee Ann City.
Zayn Malik x Versus
The hotly anticipated collaboration of ex-One Direction heartthrob Zayn Malik and Donatella Versace herself — Zayn x Versus — is capsule collection for both men and women looking to stock their wardrobes with fashion-forward edgy pieces like leather biker jackets, graphic tees and distressed denims.
Zayn Malik x Versus, available at Versus, Unit 202-5/6, Level 2, Takashimaya, 391 Orchard Road, Singapore 238873.
Adidas Originals by Alexander Wang
A pair of Adidas Originals can do no wrong. Even better? A pair of Adidas X Alexander Wang sneakers. This year, we’re blessed with Drop 3 of the main collection is available at Adidas Originals and Alexander Wang flagship stores as well as both brands’ online stores. The collection features unisex apparel and shoes printed with Adidas’ iconic trefoil logo turned upside down. The skate shoes are definitely the star of the collection.

Fenty x Puma
Rihanna — the ultimate bad gal, style icon, singer and PUMA Women’s Creative Director and Brand Ambassador — unveiled her first collection for the sportswear brand in 2015 and we can’t help begging for more. Besides its range of lust-worthy fur and bow slides, velvet creepers and bold women’s apparel, this year’s Marie Antoinette-inspired collection merges 18th century French style – think extravagant fabrics and delicate colours – with athleisure styling. Have a thing for boots like I do? The sneaker boot zip, which features a chunky platform style with satin and leather overlays, is a definite must-have pair.
Fenty x Puma, available at PUMA retail stores including Vivocity, Bugis + and Paragon, as well as retailers including Limited Edt, Pedder on Scotts, Leftfoot and Seek.
Maje x Schott
What do you get when you pair up French contemporary brand Maje and all-American outerwear brand Schott? The six-piece Maje x Schott capsule collection includes a trench coat with zips for some leg-exposure, a tan varsity jacket with wool sleeves, and my ultimate favourite — the reversible bomber jacket that comes in black with an orange lining. LV x Supreme
The highly-anticipated collection by luxury fashion powerhouse, Louis Vuitton, and major streetwear label, Supreme, drew a lot of hype online and on the streets. If you’re hoping to cop the styles of celeb hypebeasts, Trevor Scott and Justin Bieber, and be the poster child of luxury streetwear, this collab is one to fill your wardrobes with. The predominantly red collection includes accessories such as iPhone cases, wallets, backpacks, sneakers, as well as ready-to-wear items such as baseball jerseys, hoodies and denim jackets to feed your logomania obsession.

JW Anderson x Uniqlo
Uniqlo dropped its JW Anderson collaboration in September, and it had us giddily excited. The 33-piece collection incorporates the British aesthetics of JW Anderson with Uniqlo’s signature products which are heavily focused on fit and functionality. Browse through nautical-inspired sweaters, graphic tops, paddington coats, tartan puffer jackets (they come with matching puffer tote bags!) and denim for both men and women, including that denim ruffle wrap skirt pictured above.
