Choices, choices! Getting around the city is made easier with bike-sharing - and now, e-scooters
There are many options for zipping around the city – stick to the classics and hail a cab, jump on the train, grab a bike from the many bike-sharing platforms we have, and now: sharing for electric scooters. I mean, it’s really a matter of time e-scooters made its debut in the sharing scheme market and we’re glad to report that it is happening.
Singapore-based company, PopScoot, will the first to launch an e-scooter co-sharing platform in downtown commercial clusters as well as the heartlands this September. The soft launch this month has seen pilot docks set up at areas in Raffles Place, Tiong Bahru Plaza and City Square Mall.
PopScoot users will have to download an app that allows them to unlock the scooters using Bluetooth and locate scooters around the island with the in-app GPS tracker. Docking stations also double-up as self-charging locations for the scooters, so remember to park responsibly, guys!
