And just this morning, the Ministry of Manpower brought good tidings when they announced the new holiday dates of 2017. So being the holiday-loving folks we are, we swiftly did the calendar calculations and came to the conclusion that… we have seven long weekends next year! So if you’re already planning your vacays for 2017 (we are already in April after all!), here’s the official round-up of next year’s long weekends and public holidays so you can apply for leave like a badass.

29 January – Second Day of Chinese New Year (Sunday)*

1 May – Labour Day (Monday)
25 June – Hari Raya Puasa (Sunday)*
