In charge of organising your office functions? This nifty online platform caters for all budgets and makes ordering food easy!
Are you often charged with sourcing catering for your office? Client meetings, team lunches, corporate events; let’s face it, sourcing food for hangry colleagues ain’t anyone’s idea of fun. Especially when faced with a plethora of catering websites to trawl through in order to find one that can deliver on time, within your budget, and provide decent grub. And don’t even get us started on the multiple dietary requirement requests to contend with… If sourcing catering is a job that always gets moved to the bottom of your to-do list, we’ve come across a nifty website you need to know about – Caterspot. It consolidates numerous catering companies (and some of our fave restaurants in Singapore with catering menus), on one convenient online platform that makes searching, ordering, and paying, super swift and efficient.
Here at Honeycombers HQ, we like to indulge in a team office lunch every now and again, and we’re a greedy lot (like bees to honey, naturally). Ordering often gets left to our time-strapped office manager, Skye, to fix us up with a foodie feast. We asked her to put Caterspot to the test and see just how easy it would be to feed 15 hungry Honeys with a few clicks of a mouse…
First things first: the website itself is a breeze to use. Placing an order is made easy through the various filters available; just select how many people are dining, budget per head, the occasion, serving style, and level of catering required. Whether you’re organising an in-house client meeting for five people, or a spiffy corporate event for 100, the website will provide you with a list of suppliers that can fulfil your specific requirements. What’s more, payment methods are also simplified; either pay online when ordering or, if you don’t have a corporate credit card, an invoice can be requested and payment made later.
Secondly: yes, we want convenience, but we don’t want to sacrifice on quality. So we were pumped to discover some of our favourite restaurants featured on the site (who knew they had catering menus for group ordering!) alongside other top-notch catering services (there are over 90 currently on the site). The variety of cuisines available – from Indian and Italian, to Thai and Mexican – was another pleasant surprise and meant we were able to cater to everyone’s dietary requirements, from Vegetarian to Halal.
Our experience? We ordered an office lunch for 15 a few days in advance from Draft & Craft. On the day, we were kept updated with how the delivery was progressing via SMS (no more last minute stressing about whether food is actually going to show!). Needless to say our delivery was on time, and our food was still warm upon arrival. Not only that, we had plenty of plates, cutlery and napkins to go round the entire team ensuring the aftermath was pain free to clear up. The acid test for this type of service is always if we were to use it again. Our answer? A resounding yes.
