It’s time to get schooled at 100 Festival, where you can check out rock, pop, and indie and experimental Singapore bands over three weekends in July
If you need a crash course on all things about the Singapore music scene, then we’re afraid it’s back to school for you. Quite literally.
For three weekends starting 14 July, 100 Festival (formerly named 100 Bands Festival) will be taking over the grounds of the former Bedok Town Secondary School to showcase its all-Singapore music line-up. Organised by the Aljunied Cluster Community Arts and Culture Clubs and curated by music collective, RSC, the festival aims to connect the community with the vibrant, independent Singapore music scene.
Musically, there’s a lot to take in. With 100 bands performing, there’s a lot of genres being represented, from pop-punk to electronic, acoustic to instrumental – there’s going to be something for everyone. Our highlights? Check out dapper hip-hop artist, MEAN.XS; avant-garde progressive-rock group, T-Rex; emo-pop outfit Xingfoo&Roy, and more.
Best part? This event is absolutely free.
