Bored of ladies nights and pricey evenings out? Rally the troops and prep for a night of girlie fun at home with our ultimate guide of things to do, from clothes swaps and pampering, to drinks and nibbles!
We all know the drill when it comes to ladies nights in Singapore, but sometimes we just ain’t feeling the party scene. Yes we want to hang out with the #squad, but sometimes we’d rather be at home in our PJs as opposed to running ‘round town in our high heels. And at times like this, there is really only one option: a girl’s night in! We say ditch the boys, rally the troops, and get the vino in for a night of female only pampering time. Here’re our top tips to ensure your next girls night in is just as much fun as a girls night out. You’re welcome.
The drinks
There is nothing worse than running dry at a party. Make sure everyone brings a bottle as a preventative measure.
The nibbles
Snacks, snacks, and more snacks are a girl’s night in essential. Don’t get stressed by attempting to whip up a gourmet three-course feast, we say keep it simple by dotting bowls of goodies on every available surface. We love the range of treats from Tai Sun; go healthy with their Nature’s Wonders range of baked fruits & nuts selection, UCA cassava chips, and crunchy, more-ish, savoury Tai Sun coated broad beans, or go naughty with its delicious Treatz potato chip flavours. We love the sound of lime & black pepper, or fearsome wasabi flavours. Heck, get them all.
Pamper time!
Create a beauty tray and stock it with a selection of pampering treats; we’re talking cute nail varnishes, face masks, and hand creams. Here at Honeycombers HQ, we’re fans of all things organic so check out our latest roundup of top beauty brands we just can’t get enough of.
Chick flick and chill
What’s a girl’s night in without a crackin’ chick flick? Get a selection of tear jerkers, rom-coms and old school classics at the ready and see what mood the #squad are in before hitting play.
Clothes swap
One gal’s junk is another gal’s treasure. We love playing swapsies, so why not ask your g-friends to bring any old (but well looked after) threads along to switch with other garments on the night. The more you bring, the more you swap. Awesome night in and some new additions to the wardrobe? Sign us up.
Book exchange
That time you love a book but don’t have anyone to discuss it with? Right this perennial wrong by getting everyone to bring along their favourite book, wrapped and ready to gift to someone else. Come the next girl’s night in, you’ll have even more to catch up on!
