There’s going to be a forest in Jewel Changi Airport and the world’s highest indoor waterfall – ambitious much? Check out these first glimpses...
We know we have the number-one airport in the world for various reasons – but here’s another to add to the list!
Waterfalls, topiaries, lush greenery – these are just some of the things you can expect to see in the new addition, Jewel Changi Airport. Set to open in early 2019, this aesthetically-pleasing structure will hold five whole stories of indoor gardens – one of the largest indoor collections of plants in Singapore. Another feature, the Rain Vortex, will be the world’s highest indoor waterfall at 40m, and the core of the Jewel. How’s this sounding so far for a peaceful transit?
Visitors can soak in the green landscape while climbing on the sky nets and discovery slides in the arena if you’re feeling more adventurous, or just take a casual hike in the Forest Valley – all this in air-conditioned comfort.
And if nature and the greenery isn’t your thing, it’s okay. This 10-storey mixed-development building will also house a hotel and curated retail and dining outlets. All bases covered! Changi Airport, you’re truly number one.
Jewel Changi Airport is set to open to public in early 2019.
