Nosh on a special Holi menu of lamb samosas, prawn curry, sweet dumplings and more at Raffles Hotel’s Tiffin Room from 10 to 19 March
With the festival of colours just around the corner, it’s time to paint the town red (among other colours) and have a party in your tummy with flavourful, vibrant grub. In celebration of Holi this March, Tiffin Room at Raffles Hotel is serving up a special buffet menu of dishes traditionally enjoyed during Holi.
Whet your appetite with Dahi Bhalla, lentil dumplings served in yoghurt and topped with tamarind mint and yoghurt chutneys. Or pick up a couple of Ragda Patties, a potato-based snack found in the street stalls of India.
For mains, load up on Lahsuni Bhuna Gosht, a classic lamb curry stewed in spices. Veg-heads, you’re not forgotten; scoop up some Amritasri Chole, chickpeas cooked Punjabi-style.
And what’s a Holi celebration without desserts? Satiate your sweet tooth with Gujiyas, sweet dumplings made of flour, coconut milk and dried fruit; as well as Mulpua with Rabi, pancakes with sweetened milk.
