Love alcohol and ice cream? It’s a no-brainer: combine the two and you’ll have the greatest dessert of all time. But we’re not talking about your average boozy-flavoured treat here. Creamier has teamed up with cocktail bar, Jigger & Pony, to create a decadent, limited edition Bourbon Whiskey Black Sesame with Apples ice cream flavour as a third instalment of Creamier’s fifth anniversary collab series.
Now available at Creamier Toa Payoh and Gillman Barracks, the spiked treat features beautifully complex flavours – black sesame is its focal point, while Bulleit Bourbon is its poison of choice. Distilled with charred American oak, the whisky adds a touch of smokiness to the black sesame while squid ink kicks savoury notes up a notch. For depth in flavour, fresh, dehydrated Granny Smith apples lend a bit of sweetness and acidity. Bring on the brain freeze!
The Bourbon Whiskey Black Sesame with Apples ice cream is available per scoop ($4.50) and in 473ml pints ($16) at Creamier Toa Payoh and Gillman Barracks, until the end of January. All proceeds from the sale of this ice cream will be donated to the charity of choice of Jerrold Khoo, principal bartender at Jigger & Pony.
