In this month’s edition of Hot New Tables: MEATLiquor, Osteria Art, Lepark, and more
It’s that time of the month again! Bookmark this piece and check these hot new restaurants out during the month of June. If you’re not one to turn down a solid burger, rejoice because MEATliquor has finally made its way here from London. Can’t get enough of Italian cuisine? Two newcomers in the CBD area have our taste buds tingling with delight. Or, if local flavours sound way more exciting, there’s Lepark to hit up.
MEATLiquor
One of London’s most influential burger spots, MEATLiquor, has arrived, and we couldn’t be more stoked. The Dirty Chicken Burger, the Dead Hippie – all of MEATliquour’s signature bites are on offer, but expect some local creations too. Sambal fries, anyone? Find out more about this exciting spot here.
MEATLiquor, 99 Duxton Road, Singapore 089543, p. 6221 5343. Open Tues-Fri 5pm-2am, 6pm-10:30pm, Sat 5pm-3am.
Osteria Art
Brought to you by restaurateur extraordinaire Beppe De Vito (the man behind familiar names like &SONS, il Lido, and Southbridge), Osteria Art serves up affordable Italian plates like spaghetti with octopus and nduja, and olive oil cake with Amalfi lemon sorbet. You’ll also be spoilt for choice when it comes to drinks – there’s dizzying array of over 500 wines to choose from. Click on to read our restaurant review of Osteria Art.
Osteria Art, #01-01, 55 Market Street, Singapore 048941, p. 6877 6933. Open Mon-Fri 12pm-2:30pm, 6pm-10:30pm, Sat 6pm-10:30pm.
Lepark
From pop-up event to full-fledged F&B concept, Lepark is a tapas-focused hangout with a massive outdoor sitting area of 63,000 square feet and lots of fun little shindigs to boot (think flea markets and movie screenings). Draft beers start from $6, and the ever-changing menu (it gets updated at least once a month) features stuff like deep fried otah bombs and soft shell crab sliders that come with salted egg yolk.
Lepark, 5/F People’s Park Complex (rooftop carpark), 1 Park Road, Singapore 059108, p. 6908 5809. Open Tue-Fri 4pm-11pm, Sat-Sun 11am-11pm. Closed Mon.
PerBacco
Indulge in belly-warming cicheti (Italian small plates) like saffron-breaded arancini with green peas and buffalo mozzarella cheese, or go for satisfying mains such as a pan-roasted black cod when you’re here at casual Italian eating spot, PerBacco. Vino starts at $9 per glass (yay!), and a handful of classic cocktails – like the Manhattan – are on offer.
PerBacco, #01-03, 20 Craig Road, Singapore 089692, p. 6635 7130. Open Mon-Fri 12pm-2:30pm, 5pm-10pm, Sat 6pm-10pm. Closed Sun.
Hanamidori
Hailing from Hakata in Kyushu, Japan, Hanamidori features an all-chicken menu consisting of set meals, side dishes, and – perhaps most noteworthy of all – a hotpot option that’s great for two (or more) hungry folks. Don’t miss out on other stars, like the karaage and the collagen pudding. Find out what else’s worth ordering here.
Hanamidori, #04-01 Plaza Singapura, 68 Orchard Road, Singapore 238839, p. 6333 9287. Open daily 11:30am-10pm.
