Ringing in the weekend with affordable drinks and mouthwatering comfort food at gastro-bar Cook & Brew? We’ll toast to that!
After surviving a brutal work week, we all need to let off some steam with a drink or two (let’s face it, probably more). Knocking back a cocktail or two can add up if you’re heading out every evening, which is why we’re always on the hunt for the best happy hours in town. Our latest discovery? Cook & Brew’s new ‘FRIYAY’ happy hour – drinks on the cheap every Friday, all night long.
Right in the heart of the CBD, Cook & Brew is on level 33 of The Westin Singapore, which means amazing views of Marina Bay! Swing by the specialty gastro-bar after hours on a Friday and be treated to a large happy hour selection ranging from house wines and beers to cocktails and bottle deals. Sip on house pour wines and beers at $10 nett per glass, cocktails from $12 nett per glass, Mumm champagne bottles from $88++, Johnnie Walker Black Label bottles from $99++ and more, while unwinding to tunes by a live band.
No decent happy hour would be complete without a decent selection of bar bites, and there are some seriously drool-worthy grub from Cook & Brew. Munch on pad thai fries ($15) – sweet potato fries with chicken, prawns, dried sakura shrimps, and dripping in pad thai sauce, or get your cheese fix with the whipped buffalo milk ricotta ($14), served with truffle honey and grilled bread. Want something to share with your mates? Go for the Korean beef Carpaccio ($18), USDA striploin covered with gochujang (red chili paste), paired with tornado potato skewers and grilled corn.
If your tummy’s still growling, don’t miss celebrity chef Anna Olson’s steamed carrot cake ($14), topped with a frozen cream cheese frosting and caramel vanilla sauce. Can’t wait for a major indulgence this Friday? Neither can we!
