The title of Singapore’s glitziest and most star-studded salon goes to Passion. An ultra-swanky space that presides in the equally swish Palais Renaissance, Passion is the brainchild of celebrity hairstylist, David Gan. If you’re willing to fork out the dough, we recommend getting your tresses styled by the man himself. Needless to say, it’ll cost you a pretty penny – starting from $300 for just a haircut. But considering that David has worked his mane magic on stars like Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li, and even royalty, we reckon it’ll be worth it.

I’ve personally had my hair masterfully permed by Leekaja’s Salon Director Lois, so believe me when I say that the service and skills here are top-notch. Stepping inside the salon, the first thing you’ll notice is the comforting smell of coffee brewing from the barista’s bench, so if you’re for a lunchtime appointment, you’ll be able to fuel up. The second thing you’ll notice? The stunning leafy interiors, massive windows, and sleek earth and brass-toned interiors. Settle down in your comfy leather seat once you’ve taken it all in, and in no time, you’ll leave the salon with glossy, bouncy hair thanks to the Wash & Style (from $45, additional $10 for use of iron).

Art Noise’s location in quiet Holland Village, light-filled space and warm wood furnishings make it a sanctuary from Singapore’s city bustle. And if you think you’re getting that famous Japanese hospitality (also known as Omotenashi), you’re right. Expect nothing less than absolute precision as they blowdry your hair into a style that best flatters the shape of your face and head.

This household name has a rep that can’t be beat. And for good reason – stylists are some of the most attentive around, and are careful to only shape hair according to your personality and style. The same applies for a style, wash and blow ($30 to $40) as products and drying techniques used will leave your hair with a bounce that’ll last and last.
