Francophiles, there’s a big fest happening to celebrate all things French with screenings of Cannes-nominated films, music, exhibitions and more at the Alliance Française de Singapour, French embassy
While berets and baguettes can be easily replicated, the French arts scene has that je ne sais quoi you can’t find anywhere else. Luckily for us culture vultures, the annual Francophonie Festival is back this March to bring us a much-needed dose of diverse francophonie culture – celebrating the universal love for the French language.
From 11 to 24 March, gather your fellow Francophiles and head down to Alliance Française de Singapour for a slew of cultural events by artistes that hail from Francophone countries the world over. Kicking off the fest will be the screening of tearjerking documentary, Les Pépites by Xavier de Lauzanne. Visitors can also look forward to other dramas, comedy, and animation films (for the kids!) that have been nominated at Cannes, an exclusive performance by European pop-singer Axelle Red, and even a meet-and-greet with Nicole Lambert, the creator of the iconic and long-running Les Triplés comic.
Whether you’re looking to meet fellow French expats, or bump into other French-at-heart who wish to embrace this beautiful language, this magnifique event is for you.
