Strip wants your hair

Spring has come to H&M beauty
Since H&M beauty’s launch in Singapore, its products have been slowly creeping into our makeup bags. We can’t wait to update our look with the brand’s new spring launches. Instead of highlighting a single look, the collection celebrates individuality and diverse beauty looks – think statement lips in showstopping shades and extreme textures as well as eyeshadows in neutral shades and bold eyeliners. Also keep your eyes peeled for the Limited Edition face collection; it promises to create a flawless base with a colour-correcting concealer palette, cushion foundations and a refreshing face mist to instantly hydrate skin.
Shop H&M Beauty at its locations in Orchard Building and One Raffles Place, Prices start from S$7.90 for lip crayons and pencils, S$14.90 for lipsticks, S$9.90 for single eyeshadows, S$17.90 for skin illuminators and S$19.90 for foundation quads.
Next level glow: Huda Beauty’s 3D highlighter palette
When Huda Kattan (fondly known as Huda Beauty) first teased her highlighting palette on Instagram months ago, the beauty world went nuts. Last week, the social media beauty star finally revealed all the details and it looks set to be a game-changer. As an homage to her famous tip of layering coconut oil under powder highlighter to minimise pores, the palette is enriched with shea butter for a smooth makeup application. Take note that there’s a certain order to create the perfect three-dimensional glow. First, tap the the creamiest highlighter onto the highest points of face, then set with the lightest powdered shade. Next, sculpt your cheekbones with the darkest shade and sweep the rosy highlight on the apples of your cheeks for a natural flush.
The Huda Beauty new 3D highlighter palette will be available from mid-April on shophudabeauty.com.
Oil-free skin for eight hours with Murad’s new blotting compact cushion
Are you someone who’s always worried about looking oily halfway through the day? If your answer is yes, then you need to try the new Murad MattEffect Blotting Perfector ($68). This isn’t your average compact cushion; the sheer pink liquid formula contains marshmallow powder to absorb excess sebum while the nutrient-rich French Green clay extract soaks up excess oil. We also love that the antimicrobial applicator doesn’t smudge your makeup application and lowers your skin temperature so it has a refreshing effect.
Murad’s MattEffect Blotting Perfector is now available at all Sephora outlets, Robinsons the Heeren, and BHG Jurong from mid-April 2017.
