Be there when the Singapore Biennale ends with a bang – head to The Local People’s The Stop Art Market at Singapore Art Museum for great grub, booze, and shopping
If you’re sad to see the Singapore Biennale go, here’s a great way to mark the end of the epic arts festival. On 26th February, The Local People (TLP) is throwing yet another brilliant Art Market in the courtyards and glass hall of The Singapore Art Museum.
As with all of its markets, you’re in for a real treat. Bring along wads of cash as you’re bound to score quirky knick knacks at its booths – think retro memorabilia, phone cases with tongue-in-cheek slogans and illustrations as well as customised notebooks. Also don’t forget to do your bit for charity as proceeds from The Social Co. SG’s dunking machine will all go to non-profit organisations.
In between all that shopping, stop to pause for a boozy break. Crack open a craft beer and kick back with live tunes from Jean Goh Seizure and Desiree Orien Tay. It’s also recommended to come hungry; there’s plenty of food stalls for when you get the munchies, including Waa Cow, which is famed for its rice bowls.
The Local People’s The Stop Art Market is happening on 26 February at the Singapore Art Museum’s courtyards and glass hall from 11am to 6pm. For more information, head to the event page.
