A fan of Wheeler’s Yard and Wheeler’s Estate? Pack a picnic mat and head to Wheeler's Festival for a day of live music, booze and great grub
Hands up if you’ve ‘grammed the obligatory photo in front of Wheeler’s Yard’s Insta-famous blue doors, or are guilty of snapping one too many pictures under the dreamy fairy lights of Wheeler’s Estate, the cafe’s sister establishment. While we’re guilty of both, it’s the latter that has our heart; located in a beautifully restored colonial bungalow amidst lush greenery, the breathtaking locale is an Instagrammer’s dream come true. Great news if you feel the same: the multi-concept venue is throwing a huge lawn party on its premises, and it looks set to be doozy for our festival-loving selves.
Held on 29 and 30 July, the party promises three things: good food, good music and good vibes. You might want to cycle here if you’re a resident nearby – you might just win yourself a Penny Farthing bicycle if you park with the bicycle valet. Kick back with a beer and grub from the The Grill House, and try your hand at the myriad of activities offered at different booths. Top tip: Swing by at 4pm if you’re into live music, as that’s when performances (from artists like JumpStart, Jack and Rai and ShiGGa Shay) kick off.
Wheeler’s Festival is happening on 29-30 July, from 12pm-11pm. Head to the Facebook page for more details.
