Miriam teaches Vinyasa Flow and as a perfect complement to the dynamic and muscular Yang style of yoga she also loves to guide her students towards more slow-paced Yin Yang and Yin Yoga classes.
Yin Yoga is a slow-paced style of yoga in which poses are held for longer periods of time. Even though it is passive, Yin Yoga can be quite challenging due to the long holds, particularly if your body isn’t used to it. The purpose is to apply moderate stress to the connective tissue – the tendons, fascia and ligaments – with the aim of increasing circulation to the joints and improving flexibility.
