Can you believe it? In a blink of an eye, National Gallery Singapore – the world’s first museum dedicated to Southeast Asian modern art – is celebrating its first ever Anniversary since its opening last December.
National Gallery Singapore, which houses the largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian art in the world, isn’t a modest place; the architecture of building alone is breathtaking, the facilities are state-of-the-art, there are some spectacular restaurants, and, perhaps most importantly, the stories from within are a reflection Singapore’s history, values and vision.
To celebrate a year of many success stories, National Gallery Singapore is organising Gallery Light to Night Festival on two weekends (25-27 Nov and 2-4 Dec), presenting an immersive art experience via its 60 festival day-to night programmes that provide unlimited stimulation for the senses for all ages and interests. From interactive art installations and art tours/talks to flea markets and movie under the stars in Padang, this festival promises an exciting, artsy time!
What’s more? There’ll be free admission to the festival and all gallery exhibitions (except for selected tours and film screenings) for the two weekends.
